Take Me Out to the Ballgame

Here we are again…ahhh, the promise of springtime:  the birds, the buds, the daffodils, the Miracle of Easter and, in my household spring also includes baseball…baseball…and more baseball… It’s a major part of my family’s spring schedule and,  yes, this schedule can be daunting at times… trying to fit it all in amongst every other responsibility of life with kids.  It’s easy to get crazed….but whether it’s baseball, soccer, volleyball, hockey, la cross, music, dance, karate or whatever our kids are doing that we have to get them ready for and taxi cab them to during our oh-so-busy week, we need to STOP ourselves and remember to LOOK at them…really LOOK at them…drink it all in and find the joy  & wonder in their faces.  This is where we’re at.  Yes, it gets rather “juicy” at times, chaotic and time-consuming.  Chores don’t get done in a timely way & meals are on the run a lot of nights…but you know that this will all come to a screeching halt before we know it.  Remember the little miracles we are witnessing…the first time they finally “get it right” or how an ice cream cone can be just the thing that can cheer up even the saddest face who lost 15-0.  We are some of the luckiest people on the planet. Enjoy these little things…there will be a day you will look back and realize that they were big things…xo

Hitting, catching & throwing...
